Trains and trams stop right outside the hotel and take you quickly to the main railway station or the Hungerburg funicular. From there, it’s just a short journey on to the Nordkette – straight from the city centre into the mountains.

The croissant breakfast can be booked on a flexible basis. In our ‘Croissant & Go’ breakfast corner (open daily from 6.30 am to 11.00 am), you’ll find a selection of croissants, barista-quality hot drinks, fruit, muesli, yoghurt and a juice bar.
Yes. The Altstadtgarage and the Markthallengarage car parks are located in the immediate vicinity and are open round the clock. In addition, the hotel has its own car park (subject to a charge).
As there are train and bus stops right outside the hotel and the Old Town is just a few steps away, many guests choose not to use their cars during their stay.
The hotel rooms are situated within the Basic Hotel itself and offer a classic accommodation experience with an en-suite bathroom, a breakfast option and a dedicated reception.
The Basic Apartments Downtown are just a two-minute walk away in the historic Altstadthaus. They feature their own kitchen as well as a living and sleeping area and are particularly suitable for longer stays, families or anyone who wishes to self-cater. The apartments can be booked for a minimum of three nights.
Yes. All hotel rooms and apartments are air-conditioned. This provides extra comfort, particularly during the summer months – a feature that is not always standard in many 3-star hotels in Innsbruck.
The reception is staffed daily from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm. Outside these hours, you can check in at the check-in terminal 24 hours a day. By providing your booking reference or the name on the reservation, along with a debit or credit card, you’ll be given your room number and a key card straight away – even if you arrive late.
From Innsbruck Central Station, you can reach the Basic Hotel in just a few minutes by tram or taxi, or alternatively in about 15 minutes on foot. The ‘Terminal Innrain’ stop is located right outside the hotel and is served by several tram and bus routes.
From Innsbruck Airport, it takes around ten minutes by taxi, or you can reach the hotel easily by bus.
The cancellation policy depends on the rate booked. The Flexible Rate can be cancelled free of charge up to five days before arrival (4.00 pm local time). For the High & Top Season Rate, free cancellation is available up to 30 days before arrival. The Hot Deal rate is non-cancellable and must be paid in full in advance.
